Just stumbled upon the easiest way to keep your Facebook clean… because let’s face it, things can get really ugly on Facebook, meaning people tagging you (i.e., that Throwback Thursday photo from freshman year you didn’t realize you were tagged in), cuss words, unwanted comments and the like.
It’s a pretty good idea to clean up your social profiles every once in a while, but we both know you don’t have time to search through them for hours…
So let me introduce you to the coolest Facebook Page Cleaning tool – SimpleWash, also known as FaceWash. I was amazed how efficient and fast this tool was. It scans all the content on your Facebook profile — including comments by other people on photos or posts — and detects keywords that might be associated with things you don’t want a potential employer seeing (drugs, alcohol, profanities, and the like).
How cool is that? I know… I was stoked when I found this. Plus it is free and works pretty easy. You just log in and push start… then it starts scanning and voila – you have all the unwanted content in front of your eyes…
not everything would be something bad though(like for example that Al Pacino page I liked), it is still a robot searching, and sometimes it will display something you might not want to remove… but it is still cool – you can easily pass it and move to the unwanted stuff.
You can browse through all of the flagged content, click on anything you want to remove, and be transferred directly to the post on Facebook, where you can delete or hide it. An even more helpful feature: You can run custom searches to make sure you’ve never voiced any negative opinions about the company you’re about to interview with.
